1. Scope of Services
Services provided:
- Personalized kimono coordination based on the client’s personal preferences and the professional expertise of the kimono stylist.
- Detailed explanation of the coordination (e.g. kimono, obi), with guidance to deepen understanding and appreciation.
- Professional kimono dressing (kitsuke) with a step-by-step explanation of the process.
- A 1.5 to 2-hour photoshoot session.
- Delivery of 15 professionally edited, high-quality photographs.
- A kimono dressing video documenting the dressing process.
Costs not included in the service fee:
- Transportation costs (such as taxi fares), if applicable.
- Temple or site entrance fees, if applicable.
2. Camille Abe agrees to provide the following portrait photography services:
- This session is strictly one-on-one. The client may not bring additional photographers or other individuals to participate in the photoshoot.
- Camille Abe works alone and requires full concentration and preparation.
- All photographic results are the sole work of Camille Abe, and no third party may use the resulting materials.
- Camille Abe will begin work only after receipt of the advance payment via bank transfer.
3. Deliverables
Camille Abe agrees to provide:
- Number of edited digital images: 20.
- Format: High-resolution JPEG files (original RAW files will not be provided).
- Delivery method: Private Google Drive link.
The client must download the files within one week and notify Camille Abe by email once the download is complete.
Due to storage limitations, files are not stored indefinitely and will be deleted after one week.
- Estimated delivery time: 8 to 10 weeks after the session date.
4. Copyright and Usage Rights
- Camille Abe retains full copyright of all images taken during the session.
- The client is granted a non-exclusive, non-commercial license to use the images for personal purposes (such as printing or sharing on social media), with mandatory credit to Camille Abe.
- Cropping, reframing, or altering images or video frames is strictly prohibited.
- The client agrees to use the photos and videos only within the designated social media folders (either carousel folder or reel folder).
- These photos and videos are specifically resized for social media use.
- Commercial use is permitted only with explicit written consent.
- Client personal data is handled in accordance with Japanese data protection regulations.
- Camille Abe will not share personal information with third parties without prior consent.
5. Editing Policy
- Camille Abe selects the images that best represent the client.
- Camille Abe has a distinctive editing style and will not make major alterations beyond minor corrections such as temporary blemishes or redness.
- Permanent features such as skin tone, eye color, facial or body shape, wrinkles, birthmarks, or scars will not be altered.
- Each image is individually edited with a strong emphasis on quality.
- Regarding the kimono dressing video only: recording begins from the kimono dressing stage; no footage is taken prior to this.
- The client may request that their face be hidden in the video.
6. In Case of Delay
- If the client is late, they must inform Camille Abe as soon as possible.
- Lost time will result in a shortened photoshoot session.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- 14 days to 3 days before the session: the advance payment is non-refundable.
- 2 days before to the day of the session: 100% of the booking fee is charged.
- Rescheduling is possible with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.
- A rescheduling fee of ¥3,000 applies (weather-related rescheduling is excluded).
- Advance payments and cancellation fees must be paid via bank transfer only.
- In case of rain, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
The kimono are made of pure silk, and Camille Abe’s equipment is valuable; therefore, photoshoots are not conducted in rainy conditions.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Camille Abe’s liability arising from this contract is limited to the amount paid by the client.
- Camille Abe is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond her control, including weather conditions, natural disasters, or equipment failure.
Model Release
- The client agrees that Camille Abe may use the images for promotional purposes, including portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials.
9. Handling of Personal Information
- To provide appropriate services, Camille Abe collects personal information such as name, email address, date of birth, address, and contact details.
- Collected personal information is used solely for service provision and business operations and may be disclosed without prior consent if required by law.
10. Refusal of Service
Camille Abe reserves the right to refuse service in the following cases:
- Clients affiliated with or supporting organized crime groups.
- Clients who engage in violence, threats, extortion, or unreasonable demands toward Camille Abe.
- Clients who cause serious disturbance to other clients.
- Clients who are intoxicated.
- Clients who have infectious diseases or pose a risk of transmission.
- Clients whose purpose of booking differs from the agreed service.
11. Disclaimer
Camille Abe is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or inconvenience arising from the service due to:
- Delays caused by unexpected crowds or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Inability to provide services due to conditions beyond her control, including weather, natural disasters, war, or infectious disease outbreaks.
12. Intellectual Property Rights
- All copyrights to images posted on Camille Abe’s website and social media belong exclusively to Camille Abe.
13. Governing Law
- This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan.
14. Entire Agreement
- This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements.
